Hi! I'm Jessica - the owner and sole alterations specialist behind Pin Works.

My passion for sewing started early as a teenager learning to sew and led me to earn a degree in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production from Iowa State University. After University I kept sewing as just a hobby for many years until 2017 when I needed a bridesmaid dress altered.

That process sparked my interest, and with the guidance of a skilled mentor, I turned that curiosity into a business. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to helping brides and clients achieve the desired fit for their special moments.

I run Pin Works part-time while working full-time—partly to stay out of trouble (which, for this introvert, mostly means excessive reading or making unnecessary spreadsheets). More importantly, it allows me to offer weekday evening appointments, making fittings more convenient for my clients.
